Heather Booth is a leading political strategist and campaigner who has played a vital   role in in the American civil rights movement.
Booth was the founding Director and is now President of the Midwest Academy, a national center that trains leaders building citizen-based organizations. She was a founder, Co-Director, and former President of Citizen Action, and is now a Vice President of USAction. She has also worked on electoral campaigns and with the Democratic National Committee, and was the founding director of the NAACP National Voter Fund.

בות' הינה הנשיאה והמייסדת של ה- Midwest Academy , מרכז הפועל להכשרת מנהיגים הפועלים לבניית כוחם של ארגוני חברה אזרחית. היא ייסדה, שימשה כמנכ"לית משותפת וכנשיאה של ארגון  Citizen Action  וכיום משמשת סגנית נשיאה של ארגון USAction . בנוסף מילאה תפקידים במסעות בחירות במסגרת הועדה הלאומית של המפלגה הדמוקרטית בארה"ב וייסדה את קרן הבחירות של ההתאחדות הלאומית לקידום אפרו-אמריקאים בארה"ב (ה- NAACP).
